Alt-World Setting Idea

A recent article on BuzzFeed.com took a look back at a Ladies Home Journal article written in 1911 predicting how the world would look in 2011, called "What May Happen in the Next One Hundred Year" by John Elfreth Watkins Jr.  It has some interesting thoughts that could easily be incorporated into an alternate universe setting.  Check it out here!
